France introduced Eco-tax on Air travel to combat climate change

France is battling hard against climate change and global warming. Tuesday, it has announced new taxes that will be imposed on Air tickets, to limit the environmental impact of air travel. The move will take effect from 2020, and it will impose a tax of 1.5 euros on the economy-class tickets on internal flights within Europe. It is expected to bring 180 million euros a year to be invested in greener transport structure.
