Merely a couple of days after French President Emmanuel Macron showed a cartoon of Prophet Mohammed and criticised Islamic extremists, the foreign ministry of Iran summoned the French charge d’affaires over alleged insults against Prophet Mohammad. The ministry slammed Macron for his comments while rejecting “any insult and disrespect to the Prophet." Several Arab nations earlier slammed Macron for his comments.
