Global growth will turn negative in 2020; worst economic fallout since Great Depression: IMF Chief

The IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva has said the deadly coronavirus pandemic is causing a severe economic crisis unlike any in the past century. She warns that global growth is going to turn sharply negative in 2020 and anticipates the worst economic fallout since the Great Depression. IMF is expecting only a partial recovery in the best-case scenario. Georgieva has urged governments to provide lifelines for businesses & households.
