According to some sources, a number of state governments have requested the centre to extend the lockdown that is in place in the country to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus disease in the country. The central government is also thinking over the matter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the move to impose 21-day lockdown across the country during his 8 pm address to the nation on March 24.
