South Biodiversity Park will be the 7th biodiversity park in Delhi, constructed with the aim of removing water hyacinths from the river, in order to improve the water quality in the area. It will be made near the DND flyover, making it the first wetland system set to be built on a river. With the plan to restore the lost regional diversity, Delhi is building a healthy ecosystem with biodiversity parks.
