In a major development in the Punjab & Maharashtra Cooperative Bank scam case, Supreme Court on Thursday partially stayed the Bombay High Court order allowing shifting of HDIL promoters Rakesh Wadhawan and Sarang Wadhawan from Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail to their residence. The Centre had moved SC challenging the order of the High Court. A bench headed by CJI S A Bobde took note of the submissions of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta.
