Heavy rainfall triggers landslide on Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway, road blocked

Incessant rainfall in Uttarakhand triggered another landslide, this time on Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway. The highway has been closed in the Sirobagad and Narkota areas of Rudraprayag district amid heavy rainfall. Several vehicles were stranded while many others were damaged as boulders came down due to the landslide. The Kedarnath-Badrinath National Highway has also been closed in Medanpur.
