A wildfire in Southern California led to the evacuation of hundreds of homes as it raged largely unchecked through densely forested mountains that lie north of Los Angeles. Nearly 10,500 acres of land has been flamed since the eruption of the wildfire Wednesday afternoon. It started near Lake Hughes in the Angeles National Forest. There has hardly been any containment of the blaze despite a light rain.
