US researchers found that cancer patients with COVID-19 who were being administered with hydroxychloroquine with the antibiotic azithromycin drug combination to counter the coronavirus were three times more likely to die within 30 days than those who got either drug alone. The drug combination was promoted by President Trump, though the preliminary results suggest that the doctors should not prescribe these two medicines, researchers said.
