I-T department found out Rs 3,200 crores TDS scam

IT department has recently unearthed a Rs3,200 crore scam where 447 companies deducted tax from its employees, diverted it into their own business interests and did not deposit. The offenders mainly include builders and are from various sectors like infrastructure companies, movie production houses and start-ups. An infrastructure company, part of a port development has diverted Rs 14 crore, according to sources.
