I&B ministry sets deadline for reduction of foreign investments in digital media firms

In a key decision to bring digital media firms under government regulation, the information and broadcast ministry has set October 21 as the deadline for the digital media firms to reduce foreign funds to the permissible limit of 26% of equity. The ministry has asked the digital media firms to provide confirmation on compliance with pricing, documentation and reporting requirements under the FDI Policy and other laws.
