IMD issues Red Alert in Kerala; Death toll mounts to 55 lives in Assam & Bihar Floods

IMD has issued'red alert' in Kerala for extremely heavy rains and said that over 204 mm rains are likely in 24 hours in its 6 districts. Raging floodwaters bashed Assam and Bihar which led to a death toll of total 55 lives. Rain-related incidents claimed 14 lives in UP. Heavy rains continue to lash Punjab & Haryana. A report says Brahmaputra river & its tributaries are flowing above the danger level.
