IMF sent $350 million to Myanmar ahead of coup, concerned over refund

The International Monetary Fund is concerned over the refund of a $350 million emergency aid package that, it sent to Myanmar to fight the coronavirus pandemic ahead of the coup by the military. "We are following the unfolding developments closely. We are deeply concerned about the impact of events on the economy and on the people of Myanmar," an IMF spokesperson said in a statement while confirming the payment.
