The United States government has seized vessels allegedly loaded with Iranian fuel in violation of sanctions imposed by the Trump administration for the first time. A lawsuit was filed last month by a US prosecutor demanding seizure of the gasoline aboard four tankers that Iran is trying to ship to Venezuela. Washington has imposed sanctions over Iran's nuclear program, ballistic missiles, and influence across the Middle East.
