India among top 10 countries in Climate Change Performance Index

Amid all the hue and cry about the government's inability to counter climate change, India, for the first time, ranked among the top 10 in this year's Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) presented on Tuesday at the COP25 climate summit. The current levels of per capita emissions and energy use ranked 9th in the "high category". However, the government has yet to develop a roadmap for the phase-out of fossil fuel subsidies
