India ranks below Nepal in World Giving Index, USA at the top

India is ranked below its neighbours, Nepal and Pakistan in terms of the most charitable nation. According to a survey report by Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), India ranks 82 among the 128 countries that were surveyed. According to the WGI, the United States stood at the top, followed by Myanmar, New Zealand and Australia. Nepal ranks 53rd while Pakistan ranks 69th in the list. Yemen, Greece and China are at the bottom.
