India registers drop in active cases with over 50,000 recoveries; Total cases cross 19 lakh mark

Coronavirus cases in India mounted to 19,08,254 on Wednesday, recording the spike of 52,779 positive cases and 857 deaths in India in the last 24 hours. As per the Ministry of Health data, the total active cases in the country stands at 5,86,244 whereas 12,82,215 are cured/discharged. The total death toll surged to 39,795. The recovery rate stood at 66,31 percent as 51,706 people cured in last 24 hours.
