India responds to Chinese firing at Ladakh, major incident averted

In yet another act of escalation by the People'sLiberation Army in the Ladakh region, the Chinese troops opened fire on Indian troops on Monday night. The Indian army fired warning shots in retaliation to stop the Chinese troops from occupying the positions occupied by the Indian side. However, both sides stopped firing before the situation could get worse. The two sides are engaged in brigade commanders level talks.
