India responds to USTR probe on Google Tax, says tax is neither discriminatory nor extra-territorial

In response to USTR probe against India's newly launched Google Tax, the Indian government has said that the tax is neither discriminatory nor extra-territorial and added that the levy is prospective in nature & not retrospective. The government has expressed regret at the probe initiation. It also said that it is happy to provide clarifications required by the USTR in the proceedings or bilateral discussions.
