Indian coast guards earn praise from UNHCR for helping Rohingya adrift in Andaman sea

The Indian coast guard helped a group of Rohingya refugees on a boat adrift in the Andaman Sea. The coast guard personnel provided food, water and medicines to them. The action by the Indian Coast Guard earned praise from United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. UNHCR spokesperson Catherine Stubberfield, however, highlighted that "immediate disembarkation is absolutely critical to meeting their most basic human needs".
