India's position drops down to 40th on International Intellectual Property Index

India dropped to 40th position on the International Intellectual Property (IP) Index. This was as per a report of US Chamber of Commerce's Global Innovation Policy Cente which analyzed the IP climate in 53 global economies. The US, the UK, Sweden, France and Germany ranked among the top five economies on the index in 2019. The report also said that India has made progress to ensure stronger IP protections.
