Jump of over $3 billion in India's weapon procurement from US in 2020

According to the official data, India's weapons procurement from the United States recorded a jump of over $3 billion from $6.2 million to a whopping $3.4-billion in 2020. On the other side, the sale of US weapons to foreign countries dipped from $55.7 billion in 2019 to $50.8 billion in 2020. According to data from the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, India, Morocco, Poland and Singapore were among leading buyers of US arms.
