Lakshadweep filmmaker Aisha Sultana has been granted anticipatory bail by the Kerala High Court in a sedition case over her bio-weapon remark. A report was filed against her by BJP Lakshadweep wing president C Abdul Khader Haji after she said in a statement that the Union government had used COVID-19 as a “bio-weapon” against the people of the union territory. She was questioned by police for 3 hours on June 20.
