Man fined Rs. 2.6 lakh for breaking coronavirus quarantine for 8 seconds

Breaking quarantine costed a man dearly in Taiwan as a fine worth Rs. 2.6 lakh was imposed on him for breaking the coronavirus quarantine for mere 8 seconds. The man, a migrant worker from the Philippines, was quarantining in a hotel in Kaohsiung City and had briefly stepped out of his room. The hotel staff caught the man on CCTV after which they contacted the Department of Health who fined him 100,000 Taiwan dollars.
