Molecular Oxygen discovered outside Milky way!

For the first time, astronomers have detected molecular oxygen half a billion light years away from the Solar system, outside the Milky Way, near the Ursa Major constellation. Intense radiations from the stars have shocked the water iced into sublimation and molecular oxygen was released. Earlier, the scientists discovered a similar thing inside Milky Way between two star-forming clouds Orion Nebula and Rho Ophiuchi.
