More than 1,600 Rohingya refugees relocated to Bhasan Char island by Bangladesh

The Bangladesh government has started relocating Rohingya refugees and the first batch of refugees (1642 people) have been shifted to Bhasan Char island. Seven ships of the Bangladesh Navy departed from Chittagong Patenga jetties, carrying the first batch. The Bangladesh government is working towards the permanent repatriation of Rohingya refugees in Myanmar. More than 11 lakh Rohingyas are living as refugees in Bangladesh.
