More than $30 bn required for the development of coronavirus tests, treatment & vaccines: WHO

The WHO-led coronavirus battle requires $31.3 billion for the next 12 months to develop tests, treatments and vaccines. WHO has said that $3.4 billion has been granted till now and there is a funding gap of $27.9 billion; out of which $13.7 billion is primarily required. The global health agency aims to deliver 500 million tests & 245 million treatments to low & middle-income countries by mid-2021.
