Narcotics Control Bureau zonal director Sameer Wankhede called the letter by Nawab Malik a joke. Malik said in a press conference that the NCB officer sought the call detail record of his daughter. "I have information that Sameer Wankhede, through two private individuals, is intercepting calls. My phones were also tapped," Malik said while addressing a press conference. Wankhede argued that "the content of the letter is all wrong".
