Near 7 million people die due to air pollution every year: WHO

The World Health Organisation has said that air pollution is “one of the biggest environmental threats to human health’’ alongside climate change. According to the global health body, nearly 7 million people lose their lives globally due to air pollution. "In children, this could include reduced lung growth and function, respiratory infections and aggravated asthma," WHO added for calling for efforts to improve air quality.
