According to a recent revelation made by the National Crime Records Bureau, it has come to the public knowledge that one child goes missing every 8 minutes in India, making it one lakh children every year. In Kerala, 487 children went missing in 2019. Acting over the same, the govt introduced an official website 'track child' to trace the missing children with the help of the public.
