Param Bir Singh's plea seeking quashing of inquiries against him dismissed by Bombay High Court

The Bombay High Court has dismissed a petition filed by former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh in which he sought the quashing of the two preliminary inquiries against him by the Maharashtra government. The petition was ‘not maintainable’, the court said, while directing Singh to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal. Singh claimed that the Home Department was resorting to a witch hunt.
