The parliamentary standing committee, a 30-member committee, chaired by senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Jual Oram, has decided to visit the Galwan Valley and Pangong lake in the eastern Ladakh region amid the ongoing disengagement between the Indian and Chinese troops. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is also a member of the committee. The government is yet to approve the panel's visit in the regions along LAC.
