Plastic packaging for fruits and vegetables to be banned in France

The environment ministry of France has said that plastic packaging for 30 fruits and vegetables will be banned in the country starting January 2022. The law to ban plastic packaging was introduced in February 2020 and is being implemented now. The list of 30 fruits and vegetables for which plastic packaging will be banned, has been published by the government. It will prevent the use of nearly a billion plastic packaging items.
