Until now it was believed that pregnant Elephant in Kerala died after eating pineapple stuffed with crackers but now more than a week after elephant's death, the forest department said the elephant may have eaten jaggery-coated crackers that farmers use to ward off wild boars and not a pineapple. However, the news of feeding elephant with pineapple full of crackers erupted anger among the netizens across India.
