In a bizarre decision, the community panchayats have banned people with Jain, Gujarati and Sindhi identity from pre-wedding ceremonies in Bhopal. The panchayats of the three communities issued a diktat with a veiled threat of boycotting those who do not adhere to the diktat. The Jain community panchayat has even banned the participation of male choreographers in wedding events. A circular regarding the diktat has been issued.
