QUAD, France and UAE to come together for naval exercise in Indo-Pacific

With an eye on the Persian Gulf and the strategically vital Malacca Strait, the QUAD grouping, France and UAE have joined hands for two naval exercises including carrier strike groups, anti-submarine warfare aircraft and attack submarines. The naval exercise is likely to commence in April. Later in April, India UAE and France will take part in a first-of-its-kind trilateral exercise in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
