The Supreme Court today turned down the request to spare a sitting top court judge to be part of gangster Vikas Dubey’s encounter probe committee. “We cannot spare a sitting top court judge to become part of the inquiry committee,” the top court said while advising the state to rope in an ex-judge of the court and a retired police officer for the task. The apex court added that the retired judge should be from UP itself.
