'Roma' director raises voice for domestic workers in Mexico

Oscar-winning Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón has extended his support for calls to make sure domestic workers released during the Covid-19 pandemic continue to be paid. He won the best director Oscar in 2019 for Roma, a film on Latin America's housekeepers. Mexico's domestic workers are currently left without wages because of the outbreak. Mexico has more than 74,000 confirmed infections and more than 8,000 deaths.
