Sale of P-8 surveillance planes to India approved by US State Department

In a major boost for the Indian Navy's surveillance capacity, the potential sale of six Boeing-made P-8I patrol aircraft and equipment related to it has been approved by the US State Department. The deal for six high is going to cost India nearly $2,420,000. Apart from the aircraft, India will get tactical radio, missile warning sensors, GPS systems, support equipment, spares and technical support from Boeing.
