Salman Rushdie, Margaret Atwood emerge as top contenders for 2019 Booker Prize

In a list which has now been shortlisted to six, Salman Rushdie and Margaret Atwood have emerged as the top contenders for the 2019 Booker prize. The list also includes four women, who have made strong points to make the cut for the prize. The 2019 Booker Prize for Fiction is open to writers of any nationality, writing in English and published in the UK or Ireland between 1 October 2018 and 30 September 2019.
