A distributor of MDH Masala has recalled at least three lots of sambhar masala as Salmonella bacteria was found in its packet. The product was checked and tested by the FDA. Salmonella is responsible for food-borne diseases like diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever. MDH, as a result, has called off its spices from the shelves of the US retail market. US market has confirmed that the product was distributed from India.
