Scientists at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata have decoded the various dynamic structures of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, the molecular machine that allows the entry of coronavirus into human cells. The findings will help in vaccine development. The majority of the vaccines being developed worldwide work on a simple basic principle: Exposing the body to the spike protein.
