Scientists have revealed the voice of a mummified Egyptian priest who lived 3000 years ago by 3-D printing his vocal tract. They could reproduce a single sound 'meh' without the 'm'. David Howard described it as falling somewhere between the vowels in the English 'bed' and 'bad'. Howard has already reproduced the vocal tracts of living people using the same method and found that the sounds were very realistic.
