In a major success for the Indian security forces, Mudasir Pandit, a wanted Lashkar operative, and two other terrorists were gunned down in an anti-terror operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore. Mudasir was wanted for several incidents of terrorism and was hunted down in an overnight encounter with security forces. He was involved in the killing of 3 policemen, 2 councillors and 2 civilians along with other terror crimes.
