Serum Institute joins hands with IAVI, Merck to develop coronavirus neutralising antibodies

Serum Institute of India and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative have joined hands with American pharmaceutical giant Merck to develop coronavirus neutralising monoclonal antibodies. The antibodies will neutralise SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease. Non-profit organisation IAVI and Scripps Research, a non-profit American biomedical research facility, have jointly invented the antibodies.
