Serum Institute of India CEO hopeful of having a Covid19 vaccine for India by December

Adar Poonawalla, the CEO of Serum Institute of India has said that the country should have a vaccine against the novel coronavirus by December. Serum Institute is expected to start trials of the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine candidate soon in partnership with ICMR. The Oxford vaccine is called Covishield in India. Adar Poonawalla said the final pricing for the Covishield vaccine will be announced in two months.
