Researchers have discovered species of sharks that walk on the seafloor rather than swimming as we've seen sharks do for years off the coasts of Australia and New Guinea. Scientists believe that the rapid evolution of walking ability in individuals or small groups is due to small groups of sharks moving to a new area. Future generations learn to walk from birth after they've mastered the walking method.
