Soon you will be paying Rs 10000 penalty for entering a wrong Aadhaar unique identification number in documents related to high-value transactions. This is expected to be applicable from Sept 1 this year after amendments to law & subsequent issuance of notification. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced that PAN & Aadhar cards can be used interchangeably; one can use Aadhaar wherever they are required to quote PAN.
