S.Korean Court strikes down a ban on abortion law that has stood for 65 years, saying in a landmark ruling that current law unconstitutionally curbs women's rights. 7 of 9 justices ruled the law unconstitutional & 2 dissented. The rule reflects a trend towards decriminalizing abortion, as cases of criminal punishment have fallen in recent years. A survey showed more than 58% favor scrapping the ban, but 30% wanted to retain.
