Sudden death of 25 buffaloes in Odisha's Kendrapara raises pandemic concerns, locals in panic

The locals of Odisha's Kendrapara district, specially the livestock farmers, are in a panic since as many as 25 buffaloes have died in the past few days, raising pandemic concerns. "The outbreak of the disease has been reported in Ranipokhari, Balakati, Nagapada and a few other villages. It is suspected to be Theileriosis, which spreads through contact with infected animals," said Sub-Divisional Veterinary Officer Ashis Satapathy.
